Astur Sarkisyan, PT Registered Physiotherapist
In 2007, Astur Sarkisyan obtained a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree, majoring in Kinesiology and Health Science. His passion for the study of human movement and client-centered care lead him to pursue a post graduate education in the field of physical therapy. In 2010, Astur graduated from the Queen’s University Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy program. Once becoming a regulated health care professional, Astur decided to focus his interests on orthopaedic injuries and dysfunction. In order to expand his scope of practice, Astur completed the following continuing education courses: McKenzie Part A: Lumbar Spine, AA1: Foundations of Anatomical Acupuncture, Therapeutic Taping and Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy Level 1 and 2. Astur continuously seeks out the most up-to-date literature to ensure evidence based practice is being upheld. It is his mandate to develop individualized treatment programs, combining manual therapy, acupuncture, didactic instruction and active conditioning with the intent to fulfill each patient’s personal therapeutic goals.
Harshada ParulekarRegistered Physiotherapist
Harshada Parulekar has completed a bachelors degree in physiotherapy followed by post graduation diploma in Exercise sciences and Lifestyle Management form Guelph-Humber College. She is licensed and registered with College of physiotherapist of Ontario.She has pursued a course in Introduction to Acupuncture and dry needling along with Kinesiology taping (KT Taping) and has special interest in Pelvic floor rehabilitation. Harshada uses a client centered approach consisting of an initial assessment to determine the root cause of the problem, followed by education about the injury, prevention and treatment with the help of different hands on manual therapy techniques, customized exercise programs and electrotherapy modalities for speedy and healthy recovery.
Dr. Paul Agyemang, DCChiropractor
Dr. Paul Agyemang received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 2008 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He received his bachelor degree in Human Kinetics in 2004 with honours from University of Windsor. He is a certified strength and condition specialist (CSCS). Dr. Agyemang has served the community of North York for the past 5 years and has a passion for rehabilitation. Dr. Agyemang believes in using a multidisciplinary approach to health care and works closely with other health professionals. Common techniques used by Dr. Agyemang include manipulation, mobilization, soft tissue techniques, traction, and exercise. Dr. Agyemang has extensive experience treating individuals suffering from various injuries including those involved in sport injuries, work place injuries and motor vehicle accidents.
Ewa Oszust, RMTRegistered Massage Therapist
Ewa Oszust is a registered massage therapist who graduated from Kikkawa College in 1995. Ewa has 19 years of experience and is highly regarded as one of the best massage therapists in North York. Ewa specializes in swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, pregnancy treatment, and relaxation. Her hobbies include sailing, gardening, and traveling.
Lydia TornatoraMedical Assistant
Lydia is the medical assistant at P&C Rehabilitation Services who has recently graduated from George Brown College from the Medical Office Administration in June 2013. She will gladly help you with scheduling appointments, assist with the completion of insurance claim forms, or answer any questions you may have about our facility, staff or services we offer.
